Текст составлен так, чтобы его было удобно переписать в тетрадь. Zetland: riding a bicycle around the city I am currently working on a project called "Zetland: riding a bicycle around the city". The aim of my project is to identify what factors are most important for people when they decide to use a bike in the city. I have found a pie chart with the results of a relevant survey and I am going to comment on the data. According to the pie chart, the most significant factor for the respondents is "Safety on the roads", chosen by \( 52\% \) of those surveyed. "Availability of bicycle lanes" comes second with \( 23\% \), followed by "Weather conditions" at \( 15\% \). Only a small minority of people consider "Fitness exercise" (\( 6\% \)) and "Opportunities for carrying bicycles on public transport" (\( 4\% \)) as key factors. Looking at the data, it is clear that "Safety on the roads" is much more important than "Weather conditions". The difference between these two figures is \( 37 \) percentage points: \[ 52\% - 15\% = 37\% \] This comparison suggests that people are more concerned about their physical security and traffic organization than about the comfort of the environment. It shows that a well-developed and safe infrastructure is the main requirement for cyclists. However, there is a common problem that one can face when riding a bike in the city: the lack of specialized parking spots or secure storage. This often leads to bicycle theft. To solve this problem, city authorities should install more video-monitored bike racks near public places and residential buildings. In conclusion, I believe that a bicycle is a very convenient means of transport, especially for short distances. It helps to avoid traffic jams and improves the ecological situation in the city. If the government continues to improve road safety and infrastructure, more people will choose this healthy and efficient way of moving around.
