The Midnight Train Alex was late for the last train home. The station was empty and covered in thick fog. When a dark, old-fashioned train arrived, Alex didn't think twice and jumped inside. The carriage was silent. There were several passengers, but they all sat perfectly still, looking at the floor. Alex sat down and tried to check his phone, but there was no signal. He looked at the person sitting opposite him. It was an old man in a grey suit. "Excuse me, what is the next stop?" Alex asked. The man slowly raised his head. Alex gasped in horror. The man had no eyes, only smooth, pale skin where his eyes should be. Suddenly, all the passengers turned their heads towards Alex. They all had the same blank faces. The train began to speed up. Alex ran to the door, but it was locked. He looked out the window and saw that the train was not moving on tracks. It was flying through a dark abyss. A cold voice echoed through the speakers: "Final destination: Nowhere. Tickets are non-refundable." Alex realized that this train didn't take people home.
