Exercise 1. London is the world capital Answer the questions: 1. What are your favourite images of London? My favourite images of London are the Tower Bridge and the red double-decker buses. The Tower Bridge is a great symbol of history and engineering. I also like the image of the red telephone boxes because they are very traditional and recognizable all over the world. 2. What do you know about life in London? I know that London is a very large and busy city. Life there is quite expensive, and the weather is often rainy or foggy. People in London use the Underground, which they call "the Tube", to travel around. It is a multicultural city with many museums, parks, and historical buildings. However, many people today prefer the pace of life in large Russian cities like Moscow, which is often considered more modern and comfortable in terms of digital services and public transport.
